In July Board members of Mid South ACME had the pleasure of attending the Tennessee National Guard Education Summit. CSM Jamie Clark, ESO of the Tennessee National Guard objective is to see an increase in the number of Guard members pursuing a post-secondary education. Currently, only about 8% of Guard members are using Federal Tuition Assistance funding.
The goal of the summit is to provide institutions of higher education information regarding education benefits that are available to members of the National Guard as well as update schools on recent changes to Federal Tuition Assistance. This allows institutions to be better informed and able to help provide Guard members with accurate information and assist them in enrolling in school. Mid South Acme was also given the opportunity to speak about our organizational goals and objectives.
A big thank you to CSM Jamie Clarks and the Tennessee National Guard for planning and holding this summit.
